Advertising Agency President Recognized for Community Service
Joanne Gallinghouse Receives Community Leadership Award

Covington, LA—The St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce honored Joanne Gallinghouse with the 2007 Community Leadership Award at its annual banquet December 7, 2007.

President of Covington-based advertising and marketing agency, Gallinghouse & Associates, Gallinghouse was credited for her service and leadership with non-profit, civic and charitable organizations throughout the community.

Gallinghouse serves on numerous boards and commissions, including Habitat for Humanity St. Tammany West and Leadership St. Tammany. She also helped found one of Covington’s most popular festivals, Three Rivers Arts Festival, as well as the Leadership St. Tammany program.

Her service to the community extends beyond her personal commitment into the professional arena as well. For the last four years, the agency has participated in CreateAthon, a 24-hour creative blitz where advertising and marketing services are donated to various south Louisiana non-profits. To date, Gallinghouse has completed 134 projects for 39 non-profits with a commercial value of more than $500,000.
