The St. Tammany Parish Tourist & Convention Commission wanted to generate
visitor inquiries about their parish, just north of New Orleans, across Lake
Pontchartrain. With a comparatively limited marketing budget, how could the
Commission give prospective visitors a clear sense of where the parish is located
and what it offers? Our solution was a textbook example of piggyback positioning.
It capitalized on New Orleans’ much larger marketing presence while offering
visitors an enhanced experience just north of the city
